The wines of Oude Kaap find their origin in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, where the steep Drakestein Mountains have played an important role in the production of quality wines since 1693. Determination, persistence, passion and innovation have also shaped wine making on the estate and this heritage continues to be honored by a new generation of wine producers.
As the essence of a good wine is the fruit, the Oude Kaap winemakers use only the best fruit from the region. To determine which grapes are to be selected for the Oude Kaap wines, the winemakers from this estate maintain intensive contact with growers and use a very strict selection process.
About the Oude Kaap Rosé:
The wine is made from the dark Pinotage grape. The pale pink colour is acquired by leaving the juice in contact with the grape skins for only a short period of time, that way the skins only give a certain amount of their colour to the juice. It is a fairly dry rosé, but it still has a lively taste. The flavor, with characteristics of strawberry and raspberry, is still very much present in the smooth finish. A deliciously refreshing wine, especially good in summer as a fruity refreshment. Great as aperitif or with a barbecue.
About the Oude Kaap White:
This fresh white wine is made with mainly Chenin Blanc and Colombar grapes, supplemented with 15% Sauvignon Blanc. A beautiful and fruity wine with a lovely bouquet. It has a rich and refreshing taste.

You upload JPG and PNG files into our editor. Is this too technical or do you have an image of a different format you would like to use? Please contact our customer service. They are happy to help you so you can make the gift you want!
Is my gift wrapped?
Currently, we do not have a gift-wrapping service to wrap your present. We do deliver our gifts in a festive packaging. This means that your gift is ready to be given or that it can be sent to the recipient directly.
